Strong stories are the foundation for successful grants.
In this hands-on grant writing workshop we'll give you tips and techniques for how to effectively tell your story. We'll review case studies that include project and program narratives. We'll also live critique your narrative so you walk away with your application already started and in process!
Limited space! Sessions remain small so you have maximum results.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Whether you're new to grant writing or have experienced success, this workshop is for you. We'll share overall grant strategies as well as specific application techniques.
HOMEWORK: Grant opportunities for nonprofits, visual and performing artists, architects, designers, startup companies and creative entrepreneurs ABOUND.
TO GET THE MOST FROM THIS SESSION PLEASE BRING:
- Your laptop, tablet or other mobile device. OR Pen and paper, but this will make editing in class go a little more slowly.
- Your draft project or program narrative. What do you want to accomplish! Be prepared to share how receiving the grant will IMPACT you as the individual, your business if you are an entrepreneur or your clients/target audience if you are a not-for-profit.
**Special Note** creative entrepreneurs and artists: if you are applying for the City of Chicago professional development DCASE grant--make sure you download the program guidelines and sign in to review the application on April 10.
