S2S Flipping the Script: CHA Youth Change the Narrative

The HUS team attended Springboard to Success’ (S2S) 2023 gala event, Flipping the Script: CHA Youth Change the Narrative, of which Chyanne was a member of the host committee.

The event “showcased S2S students and alums who have flipped the script of what is expected of youth growing up in public housing.” The fundraiser / silent auction raised over $100,000 for S2S scholarships, we heard inspiring stories of S2S alums, and celebrated S2S teens who are featured in the Cannes Film Festival.

As accessibility consultants to CHA, we work to improve the accessibility of the CHA building portfolio. But we believe our work goes beyond the physical structures themselves. That is why we are grateful to S2S for supporting the education of CHA youth and giving us an opportunity to contribute to their mission.

Springboard to Success (S2S) enhances the vital work of the Chicago Housing Authority’s (CHA) Resident Services Division by funding programs and events that augment current youth programs and services. S2S ensures a robust college access pipeline for CHA youth by funding programs and events that bridge gaps and reduce barriers for CHA youth to get to and through college and into professional careers.
